This page provides information on how to request deletion of your TrucksG account and the data associated with it. We are committed to respecting your privacy and data rights.

How to Request Account Deletion

Currently, TrucksG does not support automatic account deletion through the app or website. However, you can request deletion of your account by contacting our support team directly.

Steps to Request Account Deletion

  1. Send an email to team@trucksg.com
  2. Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request
  3. Include the following information in your email:
    • Your full name
    • Registered phone number
    • Registered email address
    • Your user role (Shipper/Transporter/Business Admin)
    • Brief reason for deletion (optional but helpful)
  4. Verification: Our team will verify your identity and may contact you for additional confirmation
  5. Processing: Once verified, we will process your request within 30 business days and send you a confirmation

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently deleted or anonymized:

Data That Will Be Deleted:

  • Profile Information: Name, email address, phone number, profile picture
  • Account Credentials: Login information and authentication data
  • Company Details: Business name, GSTIN, company address, role/designation
  • Device Data: Device identifiers, app usage analytics, and diagnostic logs
  • Location History: GPS tracking data and location history (if tracking was enabled)
  • Communications: Support messages, chat history, and email correspondence (subject to retention policy below)
  • User-Generated Content: Uploaded files, images, and documents not required for legal compliance

What Data Will Be Retained

Certain data must be retained for legal, regulatory, and compliance purposes. We will retain the minimum necessary data as required by law:

Data Retained for Legal & Compliance Reasons:

  • Transaction Records: Shipment details, quotes, invoices, and payment recordsRetention Period: 7 years (as per Indian tax and accounting laws)
  • KYC & Verification Documents: GST certificates, PAN, business registration documentsRetention Period: 7 years (as per Indian compliance requirements)
  • Dispute & Legal Records: Data related to disputes, fraud investigations, or legal proceedingsRetention Period: Until resolution + applicable statutory limitation period
  • Audit Trails: Security logs and access records required for complianceRetention Period: 3-7 years depending on specific regulatory requirements
  • Anonymized Analytics: Aggregated, de-identified data used for platform improvementThis data cannot be linked back to you personally

Important Note on Data Retention:

If you have active shipments, open transactions, pending disputes, or outstanding legal matters at the time of your deletion request, we may need to delay full account deletion until these matters are resolved. We will inform you of any such delays and the expected timeline.

Processing Timeline

  • Request Acknowledgment: Within 2-3 business days of receiving your email
  • Identity Verification: 3-5 business days (if additional verification is needed)
  • Account Deletion Processing: Up to 30 business days from verification
  • Deletion Confirmation: We will send you a confirmation email once your account has been deleted

Note: Some data may remain in backup systems for up to 90 days after deletion before being permanently removed. During this period, the data is inaccessible and will not be used for any operational purposes.

What Happens After Account Deletion

  • You will no longer be able to log in to your TrucksG account
  • Your profile will be removed from the platform
  • You will lose access to all shipment history and platform features
  • You will not receive any further communications from TrucksG (except legally required notices)
  • If you want to use TrucksG again in the future, you will need to create a new account

Before You Delete:

  • Download any important shipment documents or records you may need
  • Complete or cancel any active shipments
  • Resolve any pending payments or disputes
  • Save any data you want to keep, as it cannot be recovered after deletion
