1. Who This Policy Applies To
This Policy applies to:

- Registered users (Shippers / Transporters / Business Admins),
- Anyone who interacts with our support or receives communications from us.

We collect information in three ways: (A) information you provide, (B) information collected automatically, and (C) information from third parties.
A) Information You Provide to Us
Account & Profile Details
- Name, phone number, email
- Company/organization details (business name, GSTIN, address, role/designation)
- Login credentials (e.g., OTP verification logs; we do not store OTP content)
KYC / Verification & Compliance Documents (When Required)
Depending on your role and features enabled, we may collect:
- Government-issued or business verification documents (e.g., PAN, GST certificate, incorporation/registration details)
- Uploaded files/images/documents you submit for verification and compliance
- Document metadata (upload timestamp, type, verification status)
If you use a DigiLocker-style or government-API-based workflow, we receive the document output and related metadata returned via those integrations, not your DigiLocker password.
Shipment, Quote, and Transaction Details
- Pickup/drop addresses, contact person details, shipment dates
- Goods category, weight/quantity, vehicle preference (open/container/trailer), instructions
- Quotes/bids, acceptance time, agreement details
- Shipment milestones, Proof of Delivery (POD) and related files (if uploaded)
Communications
- Messages and content you send to us (support tickets, emails, chat messages)
- When enabled, call/support logs and dispute evidence you submit
B) Information We Collect Automatically
Device & Usage Information
- App/website usage events (pages/screens visited, features used)
- Device information (device model, OS version, app version)
- Network and log data (IP address, timestamps, crash logs, diagnostic logs)
- Advertising ID is not collected unless you explicitly integrate an ads SDK.
Approximate Location (Website)
We may infer approximate location (city/state) from your IP address for security and analytics.
C) Location Data (Tracking Features)
If you enable tracking features, we may collect:
- Precise location (GPS) to support shipment tracking, ETA, geofencing, route progress, and operational safety.
- Location may be collected:
- While the app is in use, and/or
- In the background, only if you grant "Allow all the time" permission and enable tracking features.

A) With Other Users (Core Marketplace Functionality)
When you use TrucksG to transact, certain profile and shipment-related information may be visible to the counterparty (e.g., shipper ↔ transporter) as needed to fulfill shipments (e.g., names, phone numbers, pickup/drop details, quote details).
B) With Service Providers (Processors)
We may share information with trusted vendors who help us run the Services, such as:
- Cloud hosting and storage providers
- SMS/Email delivery providers
- Analytics, crash reporting, and customer support tooling
- Identity/KYC verification providers
- OCR/document processing services (only when needed to extract text from documents you provide)
- Payment processors (if/when integrated)
These service providers may access data only to perform services for us and must protect it.
C) With Government Authorities and Legal Requests
We may disclose information if required to:
- comply with a legal obligation, court order, or lawful request
- enforce our Terms or investigate fraud and security incidents

- using the in-app option (if enabled), or
- emailing team@trucksg.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request".
If some data must be retained for legal or compliance reasons (e.g., dispute records, statutory obligations), we will retain it for the required period and restrict further use.
10. International Data Transfers
We may store or process information in India and/or other countries where our service providers operate. When transferring data, we take steps to ensure appropriate protection consistent with applicable law.
